Today’s parents are using sign language to communicate with their pre-verbal infant and hearing toddlers! Signing with children is a parenting tool that research shows increases a child’s vocabulary, reduces frustrations, crying and tantrums, while children are more interested in books as well as strengths cognitive skills. Parents and caregivers are able to have a two way conversation with their child, understand and meet their children’s needs quicker, engage in child directed play and have fun exploring the world through their children’s view!
At My Smart Hands Saskatoon, we will give you the skills and knowledge to communicate with your pre-verbal baby and engage in meaningful conversation and play with your hearing toddler and child! We learn these skills by signing to music, books, songs and games! Our classes and workshops are fun, educational in a playful environment.
