Here is another great tip for a successful beginning using ASL baby sign language!
Ask your child what they want using baby sign! Then meet their needs. This helps to develop a two way conversation and allows the parent to meet their little one’s needs quicker in the future!
For example: you may know your little wants milk! Try asking, “Are you wanting some milk?” while empathizing the word milk verbally and through signing! Then give your little what they want after you ask for the sign!
*Tip taken from “The Signing Bible” by Laura Berg, founder of My Smart Hands.
What is the Tiny Tots Sensory class?
This is a class all about play and sensory based learning! Here is just one sensory activity/song that we will use in class.
Your little will learn through sensory play through various sensory baskets, painting, sensory bins, scarf play, ribbons, balls pits, bubbles, water play, and shakers and other items while supporting this learning though various signs. Also, included in this multi-sensory program are take home activities: paint bags, salt dough hand-prints and a sensory box.
Each Wednesday, we have an ASL sign of the week! What is Mr. E signing?
This sign can be read different ways! The first one is “gentle” and the other is “clean”. Two wonderful signs to start using with your little one!
